My name is Soul Patel (full name Sohael Patel) and I’m what you could call a financial expert. I became financially free at the age of 30 this year through property and have taken on the role of educating the public about money, finances, debt and strategies to make more money.
I have extensive financial experience having built financial models for banks, investigated the mis-selling of endowment mortgages on behalf of the FSA, and worked in financial and strategy consulting for over six years. I was also the UK Shareholder Value Analysis Lead at Capgemini Consulting, a global consulting firm.
I am also qualified with a degree in Economics and a Masters in Banking and Finance. I am also a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. My claim to fame is that I am the only person to have ever taken both those qualifications at the same time doing six years of studying and exams in only three years, whilst also working full-time.
I have also given lectures at the London School of Economics, CASS Business School, and consultancy and accountancy firms on financial education and passing financial exams.
